The Queen has updated her social media accounts following the death of her 'beloved' husband, Prince Philip, replacing the couple's photo with a picture of her on her own.

Following the Duke of Edinburgh's death on April 9, the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cambridge changed their pictures on Instagram and Twitter to black and white images.

Now the official two-week mourning period has ended they have returned to normal, however the Monarch has used a different picture.

Before his death, the Queen used a photo of her beaming at the camera with Phil in the background. Now, it's a solo snap taken last year during her visit to the MI5 headquarters at Thames House.
