Queen Elizabeth II has been placed under medical supervision after her doctors became "concerned" for her health on Sept. 8, Buckingham Palace announced. "The Queen remains comfortable" at Balmoral Castle at this time.

Her Majesty canceled a meeting Wednesday with senior government officials after spending Tuesday hosting a series of events at her summer residence in Scotland.

Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, along with his wife, Camilla, and sister, Princess Anne, were with the queen at Balmoral Castle.

Prince William, Charles’ eldest son, was also en route to Balmoral, as was his brother, Prince Harry, his wife, Meghan, Prince Andrew and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
