It is a very emotional time for Queen Elizabeth. Last week, the 95-year-old Queen of England received a deep pink rose that was created in honor of her late husband Prince Philip‘s 100th birthday.
On Wednesday (June 9), the rose was planted in a the mixed rose border at the East Terrace Garden at Windsor Castle, which Prince Philip helped transform. Prince Philip would have been turning 100-years-old on Thursday, June.
A palace source told People that Queen Elizabeth will be spending the day “privately.” Prince Philip sadly passed away back on April 9 at the age of 99.
He and Queen Elizabeth had been married for 43 years. During a recent public event, Queen Elizabeth honored her late husband in a sweet and subtle way.
