Vladimir Putin’s huge nuclear doomsday mega submarine has been spotted by satellite after NATO previously lost track of it.The 604ft, 30,000 ton, nuclear-powered submarine Belgorod has been snapped as fears about heightening nuclear tensions continue to rise.It has been picked up in a part of the Arctic Ocean called the Barents Sea by expert naval observers. The location of the vessel is a big deal – it’s been spotted in waters that have a coastline of both Russia and Norway, which is part of NATO.
NATO issued a warning that K-329 Belgorod was also carrying an underwater drone called Poseidon, a giant nuclear-capable torpedo .
It is thought to be able to carry up to eight Poseidons at a time – each 79ft long – and armed with nuclear warheads that can travel at around 80mph below the surface of the water.
