Putin mouthpiece blames UK for Ukraine nuclear plant chaos in bizarre rant

Vladimir Putin's top officials has oddly blame Britain for Russia struggling in Ukraine. The odd rant came from Vladimir Rogov in response to a claim that Britain is now involved in trying to get back the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.The plant has been one of the most contentious points of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with officials warning that constant shelling of it could cause another Chernobyl.READ MORE: Russian TV predicts nuclear 'Armageddon' as Putin ships more missiles from SiberiaIt was taken by Russian forces early on into the war, but now appears to be going back in Ukrainian hands.And this, Rogov, who is the chairman of We Are Together With Russia movement, said: “Not a single military step, especially a key one, is being taken there without approval from the British or their team.“Ukraine’s special forces, the elite militants of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, have been regularly trained for combat coordination with the goal of crossing the Dnieper and landing on its bank to take a stronghold and occupy a large energy infrastructure facility.“No doubt, they are aiming at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. “All this shows that they have been making concerted efforts, the results of which, I am afraid, we may see soon.” Although there appears to be no truth to the rumour, the Daily Star has contacted the UK's Ministry of Defence for a comment.

The plant was put under more jeopardy at the end of last month when its boss, director-general Ihor Murashov, was kidnapped by Russian forces.The shocking incident happened at on September 30, with nuclear company Energoatom claiming that the troops stopped the man's car near the site, put a blindfold on him and took him to a still-unknown.
