Pubs predict they missed out on a staggering 12 million pints sold after boozers were shut for a second consecutive Mother's Day.Hospitality firms are gearing up to reopen in April as part of England's roadmap out of lockdown.But Mother's Day is traditionally a busy day for the country's pubs and being forced to stay shut is another blow in what has been a difficult 12 months for the industry.Stats from the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA), the trade association representing brewers and pubs, also revealed that firms will miss out on flogging 3.6 million in the sale of meals due to the ongoing restrictions.Mother's Day in 2020 fell on March 22, shortly after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the first UK lockdown to fight.
