Alex Subway left a comment on the restaurant review site saying: "Basically popped in for Sunday dinner - 10 days later get a parking charge for £85 - who charges people to park when they've come to have a meal?

But the general manager of The Queslett, who's called Phil, responded to the posts, first apologising to Alex and telling him that he would waive the fee if he brought the paperwork into the pub with him on his next visit.

He explained that, if customers input their car registration on the electronic tablets by the front door before sitting down to eat, they would not be charged to park, reports BirminghamLive."Apologies if you feel upset with a parking fine," said Phil. "If you have not paid it yet then please don't - bring it into us and we can cancel it for you."He added that there are two vehicle registration tablets at the entrance to the pub on which guests can log their reg numbers in order to get free parking during their stay.Phil explained that the system - which has been in place for three years - had been installed to stop non-customers taking up spaces intended for patrons, as well as clamping down on any "illegal activity" that may take place in the car park at night.
