Revellers in Wales marked the eve of a strict booze ban with one final night out on the town. From Friday night, pubs, bars, and restaurants in Wales are banned from selling booze and must shut by 6pm daily.

First Minister Mark Drakeford's government launched the crackdown before Christmas in a bid to drive back the spread of coronavirus.

Pub-goers headed out to the boozers on Thursday night in one last night of drinking before doors shut once again in another blow for hospitality.

There were reports of a heavy police presence in Swansea on Thursday night to monitor rule-following on the final night out.
