Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. On Monday (May 30), anyone visiting a Greene King Local Pub or a Flaming Grill establishment will be able to take advantage of the thirst-quenching price, which is the same as an average pint cost during the Queen’s 1952 coronation. The offer entitles customers to a pint of Greene King's IPA using the secret codeword '1952' when ordering.

It will mark the start of the Jubilee celebrations, kicking off a week of festivities that is sure to be full of entertainment.Andrew Gallagher, marketing director at Greene King Local Pubs, said: "The Platinum Jubilee is a fantastic way for the UK to come together and celebrate our Queen and country, so we wanted to take our customers back to where it all began – 1952, a time when Vera Lynn ruled the charts and pints were only 6p."Some of our regulars may even remember watching the coronation back in 1952, although they may have been too young to enjoy a pint then."We can’t wait to see our customers enjoy this royally good deal and look forward to celebrating the Platinum Jubilee in all our pubs."On June 2, Trooping the Colour, the sovereign's official birthday parade, will kick start the four days of festivities, with the expectation the Queen will join working members of the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony.A personal highlight for the Queen will be her afternoon at Epsom racecourse for the Derby and that evening Diana Ross, Queen + Adam Lambert and a host of stars will perform at an open-air concert in front of the palace. The weekend will end with street parties and jubilee lunches held across the country on June 5.
