Sony is stepping up its jump from PS4 to PS5 and it's not just going to impact new first-party games, but those released by third-party publishers too.
It's reported that Sony has outlined some strict new rules which mandate that any new games submitted for certification must also be compatible with Sony's new PlayStation 5 console - beginning 13th July.
This essentially means that any new PS4 games submitted by third parties will need to be 'forward-compatible' - working on both Sony's new console due out this year and normal PlayStation 4 consoles.
