Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales can still work despite having "virtually no short-term memory,” her son has said. The actress, 88, who played Sybil Fawlty in the iconic comedy series, was revealed to be battling Alzheimer's in 2014.
But her son, who is currently starring in Channel 5's All Creatures Great And Small, has revealed that his beloved mum is still able to work as she “still reads quite well”.
Actor Samuel West told the Daily Star his mum is finding it difficult to follow conversations and has virtually no short-term memory, however there are “extraordinary areas” which are “still there”.
