Priti Patel has refused to rule out criminal prosecutions after Lord Dyson's report into the BBC’s 1995 Panorama interview with Diana was released.
The inquiry says that journalist Martin Bashir used "deceitful behaviour" to get the Princess to take part in the bombshell interview and that an internal BBC investigation had covered it up.
And during an interview on Sky News on Sunday about the prospect of prosecutions, Home Secretary Priti said that "lessons have to be learned" and that the forthcoming mid-term review of the BBC charter would be a "very, very significant moment" for the corporation.
