Princess Diana's childhood home won't be inherited by her two sons Prince William and Prince Harry. Instead the Northamptonshire property will be inherited by 27-year-old actor Louis Spencer.
He was born in 1994 and is the youngest of the Diana's brother Earl Spencer's four children with first wife Victoria.Despite the actor having older sisters, the 13,500-acre Althorp estate will go to Louis due to an old family tradition where the oldest male inherits the stately home.
Louis has reportedly already started attending trustees' meetings for the Grade I listed property Althorp House and the earldom.
The actor's eldest sister Lady Kitty Spencer, 30, told the Mirror about the family tradition. She said: "Primogeniture can be a tricky topic, because as times are changing, attitudes are as well."We've grown up understanding that it's Louis to inherit, and Louis will do an incredible job."In 2015, the current Earl Spencer, Princess Diana's brother said he was happy with the tradition in place.
