Prince William has admitted that he used to “fall asleep” during lectures at St Andrews University.The Duke of Cambridge, who turns 40 today, told of his issues at finding lectures interesting while chatting to Big Issue seller Dave Martin recently.The Duke caused a stir when he appeared alongside Mr Martin to sell the charity magazine last week – they sold 32 copies in one hour.And the pair appeared to get on well, with William sharing a personal story.He said: “I studied a bit of art history at university.“I had to give it up – I kept falling asleep in lectures . . .
terrible.“We did a lot of Renaissance, which was amazing.“But then once we got into modern art, I started to get a bit dozy.’ The Prince started at St Andrews in 2001, and it was where he met his now-wife Kate Middleton.
