Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress. Prince Harry
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry to be refused protection as 'security risk is low', says ex-policeman

Prince Harry won't be given police protection when he comes back to the UK because the risk posed to him by the public is 'too low', according to a former policeman for the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex has reportedly threatened to sue over the Home Office's refusal to let him take the "unprecedented" step of paying for police to guard him when he next comes back to his country of birth.

He wants to bring Meghan Markle, his son Archie and baby daughter Lilibet to visit from the US, but claims his family are “unable to return to his home” because it is too dangerous, a legal representative said.

Harry has argued that his US-based security team do not have the sufficient jurisdiction in Britain to be able to protect him properly, and has offered to effectively 'book' police officers for the duration of his next trip at no cost to the taxpayer.He enjoyed round-the-clock protection in the years before he left his working role in the Royal Family in 2020 and became a private citizen.But former Head of Royal Protection and Divisional Commander in the Metropolitan Police Dai Davies has hit back at the attempt, saying he had "never heard" of any public figures "hiring" police officers in their day-to-day lives.He told Mail+: "The fact is, many senior royals are losing their protection.
