Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have called their daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor paying tribute to the Queen and the late Princess Diana.
However, the name also may have included a sweet nod to Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Sunday their daughter's name and arrival to the world following her birth on Friday.
Lilibet was the Queen's nickname coined by her father, King George VI, when she was a child and used by her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, who died in May.
However, journalist Afua Adom said this morning that it was "not just about being named after the Queen". Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter.
