Prince Charles and Camilla 'ideal partners' following ‘Queen Consort’ announcement

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall are “ideal partners” following Her Majesty’s announcements that Camilla will be Queen, a royal expert has said.

Her Majesty gave Camilla her seal of approval by publicly telling the nation it is her “sincere wish” that Camilla will be known as Queen Consort when the Prince of Wales becomes King.There have been years of controversy over what Camilla’s title may be as she previously decided to to use the Princess of Wales title out of respect.In her statement, the Queen said: “And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service.”Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes the Queen’s announcement has come after the public showed that they have “warmed" to Camilla.Mr Fitzwilliams told the Daily Star: “This is a dramatic announcement in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Message, which is far sighted and perspicacious. "The Queen recently appointed Camilla to be a member of the Order of the Garter, a clear sign of her favour and the public have warmed to her.“She and Prince Charles are obviously ideal partners and her charitable work has been most impressive.
