Prince Andrew could be ordered to pay £14million damages if he loses his US sex abuse case. Last night American lawyers also warned that due to “huge legal hurdles” facing accuser Virginia Giuffre, a hearing may be five years away.
That would mean the Queen, 95, would be more than 100 by the time her son faced trial, creating the possibility Charles would be on the throne.
Details of the potential payout came as Scotland Yard chief Dame Cressida Dick ordered a new review into the abuse claims made against Andrew in London by Ms Giuffre.
