Primark has announced its plans for new stores this year as it names the items most in demand by shoppers. Owner Associated British Foods has said since reopening people have been snapping up children's, leisure and night wear, along with summer products such as shorts and t-shirts.
But not everything was in demand. Consumer demand was "unsurprisingly weak" for formal menswear and travel-related accessories, the chain said.
But sales overall were strong - with trading in England and Ireland actually ahead of the same week last year, despite all the safety restrictions in place.
