Pride of Britain Awards: Inspirational Ayrshire dad collects top honour for Down's syndrome charity work

An Ayrshire parent is one half of a duo whose 500 million time viewed video celebrating children with Down’s syndrome has landed them a top gong at the Pride of Britain Awards.

Jamie McCallum, 42, from Prestwick, scooped the TSB Community Hero award at the Pride of Scotland awards alongside fellow parent Rebecca Carless, 38, from Coventry, who he started charity Wouldn’t Change A Thing with, which is dedicated to changing perceptions of Down’s syndrome.
