Premier League goalscoring hero Benjani has bagged his first managerial job - in Zimbabwe. Benjani, who won 42 caps for Zimbabwe during his playing days, has returned to his homeland to take on the top job at Castle Lager Premier League side, Ngezi Platinum.

The 43-year-old was confirmed as the club's new boss on Wednesday in an unveiling ceremony streamed live on Facebook.The former Manchester City and Portsmouth star takes over a side holding their own in the top division of Zimbabwean football, with the club currently fifth in the 18-team league.

After nine games, they have picked up 15 points, leaving them seven points behind early league leaders Chicken Inn FC. Benjani, who has reportedly signed a four-year deal with the Mhondoro-based club, is already talking up the possibility of exploiting his strong European links to bring in new players.

According to the Sunday Mail, Benjani said: "While I’m here, it’s going to be easy for me to facilitate trials for players, and even friendly games for the club to play in Europe and against teams I played for during my career.What are your favourite memories of Benjani in the Premier League?
