According to Borderland Beat, nine deaths came in just 60 minutes. The pregnant woman was reportedly killed in an OXXO store (a Mexican convenience shop). The violence started on Thursday (August 11) afternoon when Los Chapos, members of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel formerly led by Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman, and local street gang Los Mexicles clashed in a prison, according to Deputy Security Minister Ricardo Mejia.Two cartel members were shot dead and another 16 injured in the prison riot.

That riot sparked mayhem across the city.Tony Payan, Director of the Baker Institute's Center for the United States and Mexico, tweeted today: "The panic in Ciudad Juárez is still going on this morning.
