Postman fired for taking 130 parcels home when ill and delivering them on his day off

Royal Mail postman who took 130 parcels home with him when he fell ill on his round was sacked for delivering them on his day off.Walacy Ramos had kept the parcels in his living room overnight without asking his superiors when he suddenly became unwell.Deciding to finish the round in London the next day, he was spotted by some of his colleagues who reported him and he was later sacked.READ MORE: Estate full of violence and chaos has locals saying it's 'worst place on Earth'However, Mr Ramos took the case to a tribunal and won an unfair dismissal case against Royal Mail.The tribunal was told Mr Ramos was dismissed without notice in February 2019 - but his superior was later told by occupational health he had earlier raised issues with his mental health.The tribunal ruled the Royal Mail had not taken his mental health into account.Employment Judge Rachel Beckett said: “Could a reasonable employer have decided to dismiss Mr Ramos for acting in the way he did in this case?
