Possible disruption to East Ayrshire bin collections as council staff start self-isolating

A number of council staff are now self-isolating in East Ayrshire, which is starting to disrupt bin collections. East Ayrshire Council chief executive Fiona Lees said employees are absent and the local authority will stop running non-essential services progressively.Today, the council announced bulky uplifts have been suspended as the coronavirus grips the area.And garden collections in the north of the region are also off.
