Police search for 'stocky' robber who raided Morrisons and 'demanded cash' from staff

Police are investigating after money was stolen from a Morrisons Daily store in Bolton. The incident happened at the shop in Newbrook Road, Over Hulton, on Saturday morning (January 22).

According to Greater Manchester Police (GMP) a 'stocky' man in his thirties went into the store and 'demanded cash'. READ MORE: Flowers on the street, a family devastated and another young life full of promise taken too soon No weapons were used but he left with money.

Officers are now trying to track the suspect down. A GMP spokesman said: "Officers were called to the Morrisons store Newbrook Road, Over Hulton, Bolton at around 8:20am on Saturday 22 January 2022. "It was reported a man aged 30-40, around 5ft 7in tall and of stocky build entered the store and demanded cash. "No weapons were seen and the man left with a quantity of cash.

There have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing."
