Police raids across South Lanarkshire as £50,000 of drugs recovered and £5,000 cash

A series of raids across South Lanarkshire has led to the recovery of £50,000 worth of drugs and £5,000 cash. Cops in the Divisional Alcohol and Violence Reduction Unit carried out a number of searches between Tuesday October 12 and Wednesday October 20.

Properties on Bracken Brae, Lesmahagow, Low Water Road, Hamilton, Draffen Road, Netherburn and Welsh Drive, Blantyre, were all targeted.

In total £14,000 worth of cocaine and £36,000 worth of cannabis was recovered from four properties. Cops also recovered £5,000 in cash after officers, assisted by the dog unit, stopped a vehicle near Machan Road in Larkhall.

Four men - aged 26, 32, 39 and 58 - have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences, with each expected to appear
