East Kilbride have launched an investigation after a teenager was attacked by five youths and robbed at the weekend. The incident happened on Friday evening in the Westwood/Murray area, with a source saying the 16-year-old was “badly shaken”.Now officers are asking for help from anyone who may have been in the area or seen anything at that time.The incident happened shortly after 10pm on November 20 in the Penfold Crescent area as the boy walked in the direction of Quebec Drive.Police say he was assaulted by a group consisting of four males and one female and the rucksack he was wearing was stolen from him.
This contained personal belongings which have not yet been traced. Inspector Stephen McGovern told the East Kilbride News on Tuesday.
