Police close Clyde Tunnel after car fire sparks huge emergency response

Mercy crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 7pm. The blaze has now closed off the tunnel to all vehicles in both directions, reports Glasgow Live.

No one is reported to have been injured in the incident, and the fire has now been extinguished. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told Glasgow Live : "We mobilised four appliances to reports of car on fire in the Clyde Tunnel after receiving the call at 7.09pm.
