Manchester United flop Paul Pogba will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the month, but he will still pick up a £3.78million loyalty bonus. It's the second time Pogba will walk away from United on a free transfer.
The Frenchman did the same in 2012, when Juventus came calling for his signature after he failed to break into Sir Alex Ferguson's side.Pogba rejoined United in 2016 for £89million - smashing the club and world record fee - but he has ultimately failed to live up to expectations.
Pogba collected the annual loyalty bonus every year after his salary dropped to £7.75million-per-year, taking his total earnings at the club to £219million.United, in a statement, said: "It was a low-key end to a United career that had brought so many individual high moments, so many beautiful goals, assists and pieces of skill."But for a boy that joined the Academy at 16 to make over 200 United appearances and lift the Youth Cup, along with two major pieces of silverware – not to mention the World Cup at the international level – is something that should be applauded and celebrated. "Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United.
We wish him all the best for the next steps on a remarkable journey." What did you think of Pogba's second United spell?
