WME has signed the UK-based podcast production house Broccoli Productions with an eye to empowering minority talent both in front and behind the microphone.

Broccoli Productions (formerly Broccoli Content) was founded in 2018 by award-winning producer Renay Richardson after the success of her indie podcast About Race With Reni Eddo-Lodge.

A year later, Broccoli Productions formed a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment to develop creative, challenging and socially conscious audio content for global audiences.

The company’s current podcast slate includes the flagship Anthems series, which showcases exceptional womens' voices, Broccoli Book Club and Zombiemum, about parenthood and mental health issues and hosted by Laura Dockrill.
