In his brand new book Wake Up, released today (15th October), the famously opinionated journalist admitted that the backlash he received for paying tribute to Caroline after her death was "hurtful".
In an excerpt shared by the Mirror Online, Piers wrote: "The court of public opinion instantly delivered another verdict: I was to blame for Caroline's suicide." He added: "Yes, me, someone who had tried to help her privately and publicly through her darkest.
