His tongue-in-cheek comments came after competitions presenter Andi Peters complained about presenting in the cold on the banks of the Thames while Piers and Susanna Reid were in a warm studio.
Using Laura's outfit to demonstrate that it couldn't be that cold outdoors, Piers said: "I know it's unseasonably warm because Laura's wandering around like she's in a bikini competition. "Laura, show us your legs." Sitting behind her desk in a pale blue jump and navy miniskirt, Laura looked surprised and shrugged her shoulders.
