As we reported earlier today, the 56-year-old outspoken former breakfast hot believes he came in contact with the virus when he joined the huge Wembley crowd for the England vs Italy Euros 2020 football final a couple of weeks ago.
This was in spite of the fact that fans were supposed to have tested negative before they were allowed to enter the stadium.
Piers has revealed he has been coughing and sneezing and suffering aches and pains, cold sweats and a fever for 10 days, and confirmed that it has been the ‘roughest I've ever felt from any illness in my adult life’.
