PIERS Morgan has spoken about the "devastating" and untimely death of his close friend in a candid interview about coping with grief.

The TalkTV host - whose new show Piers Morgan: Uncensored airs tonight - offered an insight into his private struggles in early life during an interview with Steven Bartlett.

The 57-year-old told the Diary of a CEO podcast: "The great thing you get as you get older and I'm 57 now, you learn about life - the good, bad and ugly. "You learn from mistakes and things that have gone bad in your life.  "You learn that you either give up or keep pounding and that's what I always say to my kids. "It invariably is fine, so they start to realise that I'm right. .css-16e4f55{margin:16px 0;}.css-1czxmma{background-color:rgba(252,239,255,1);margin:16px 0;}.css-1tapza8{padding:20px 15px;}.css-1bk4jdt{padding:20px.
