Piers Morgan has pulled out of a planned Sports Relief boxing match with Alastair Campbell, saying his sons warned him he could "kill" him.
The 54-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter said he spoke to his sons – Albert, Spencer and Stanley – who warned him off the fight with his 62-year-old opponent – and Piers had been told he and Alastair would not be allowed to aim for each other's heads.
He said his middle son had warned that, due to Alastair's age, the chance of serious injury, or even death, if Piers took him on.
The controversial broadcaster said: "I mulled it over, would it be a good or bad career move if I was to kill Alastair Campbell in a boxing ring? "I took an honest human view.
