Piers Morgan is never one to shy away from letting his feelings known online, especially when it comes to his beloved Arsenal. The former Good Morning Britain presenter has criticised Mikel Arteta after Arsenal were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Liverpool, ending their hunt for silverware this season. It's been a disastrous start to 2022 for the Gunners as they have been knocked out of both domestic cup competitions, and Tottenham have now moved above them in the Premier League. And Morgan has labelled Arteta's process at Arsenal 'untrustworthy', as the Gunners continue to battle another poor run of form.Arsenal spent more than any other Premier League club this summer as they splashed out £150million on six new signings, but their start to the season was the worst in the club's 118-year history.Their form picked up, and before the turn of the year they appeared unstoppable, but they are yet to win in 2022 and the doubts are starting to creep in once more. One of the doubters is Morgan, who took to Twitter and said: "Not in Europe, out of both Cups, 6th in League (behind Spurs)… dare I suggest the Arteta process is not quite as trustworthy as some Arsenal fans think?"Arteta was appointed Arsenal boss in December 2019, and won the FA Cup during his first season with his former side, but since then they have been well below par, and they started the current campaign without European football for the first time in 26 years.Following the shock third round defeat to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, Arsenal are now out of both cup competitions, and their aim this season will now solely be to get back into the top four.Their recent purple patch of form is well and truly over, and the pressure is on for Arteta with no excuses.
