ok.co.ukThe National Television Awards wasn’t all cheers as audience members appeared to boo Piers Morgan when his nomination was announced on stage.
Piers was in the running for the Best Presenter Award for his work with former employer ITV on Good Morning Britain, but hadn’t shown up for the ceremony.
As the nominees for the award were announced, the crowd could be heard booing for a moment before the sound was drowned out by other members of the audience – which included many of Piers' celebrity pals – cheering.
Piers was up against Alison Hammond and Holly Willoughby from This Morning, The Chase’s Bradley Walsh and I’m a Celebrity duo Ant and Dec.
