Foden's 75th-minute strike sparked wild celebrations and earned City a 2-1 win in Germany to advance through to the semi-finals 4-2 on aggregate.
City will face PSG in the semi-final after the French side overcame Bayern Munich in their own quarter-finals - and Foden has wasted no time in laying down the gauntlet to the opposition.
Minutes after the final whistle, Foden tweeted a picture of himself scoring and tagged in Mbappe. "Are you ready," he said to the French attacker, followed by a handshake emoji.
