Perthshire schools display artistic talent

Delighted pupils came to receive their prizes after the results of the annual Young Artist competition were announced in Perth recently.Strathallan School student Reuben LaVallee has been named the ‘Junior Young Artist of the Year’ in this year’s Perthshire Art Association (PAA) Annual Exhibition.

Reuben’s winning entry ‘Different Slopes’ was a scratchboard piece depicting the things that he missed during lockdown and how he adapted to the very different times of the pandemic.In the S1-S3 age group the runner-up was Johanna Kwizda, from Glenalmond College.The senior winner was Kim Paul, a pupil at Glenalmond College with Perth High School’s Ciara Hull as runner-up.
