Paul Gascoigne has recalled the heartbreaking moment in which a young friend passed away in his arms. The England, Tottenham and Rangers hero has explained how the incident scarred him for a number of years, and why he initially thought that young Stephen Spraggon would be okay.As he mentions in his autobiography, Being Gazza, Paul took Stephen, who was the younger brother of his friend, to a local shop on Derwentwater Road in Gateshead.Gascoigne noted that while he was messing around on the pavement, Steven ran out into the road and was struck down by an ice-cream van.
