Obi-Wan Kenobi force jumps into ‘Fortnite’

Epic Games has confirmed that an Obi-Wan Kenobi skin will be available in Fortnite from next week.Starting May 26, players will be able to get their hands on the Obi-Wan Kenobi outfit alongside an Obi-Wan Back Bling featuring an “assortment of tools perfect for living an isolated existence on a remote desert planet.” Players can also get Obi-Wan’s Blade Pickaxe, Jedi Interceptor Glider and Obi-Wan’s Message Emote.Items can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle that also features the Kenobi Surrounded Loading Screen.Claim the high ground in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Cup starting on Sunday, May 22!Find out more:— Fortnite (@FortniteGame) May 20, 2022If players are impatient though, they can take part in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Cup this Sunday (May 22) for a chance to get their hands on the items before they hit the shop.Announcing the Battle Royale Duos tournament, Fortnite said: “The road lies before you, but you don’t have to walk it alone in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Cup. And yes, Lightsabers and E-11 Blaster Rifles will return in this Cup!”“Competitors can play up to ten matches within their region’s three-hour time window, and the specific event timing for each region can currently be found in the Compete tab in-game.” Players will get 25 points for a victory royale, 22 for coming in second place all the way down to one point for being the first person out.At the end of the tournament, the top 1250 players in Europe will win the Obi-Wan Kenobi In-Game Cosmetic Outfit and Back Bling with other regions having their own leaderboards.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has a cameo in upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi, according to reports.The Star Wars spin-off, set to be released on Disney+ on May 27, is set 10 years after events in 2005’s Revenge Of The Sith, where Kenobi witnessed his Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker turn to the dark side.According to Star Wars News Net, sources have said Flea, real name Michael Balzary, will make an appearance in the series in an unknown role.Rupert Friend, who plays the Grand Inquisitor in Obi-Wan Kenobi, recently teased in an interview with Hey U Guys that the show will feature “wonderful cameos”.“I think it’s one of the most thrilling additions to the Star Wars canon,” Friend said. “I think Ewan McGregor is doing things with that role that is a dream for fans of the original films… we can’t obviously have Alec Guinness back, but I just think Ewan was absolutely born to play that part.“But wonderful cameos from people I obviously can’t tell you, Easter eggs galore and… yeah, it’s a thrilling ride.”Flea has made numerous appearances in film and television over the years, including Back To The Future Part II, The Big Lebowski and minor voice roles in Pixar films Inside Out and Toy Story 4.He’s also set to appear in director Damien Chazelle’s (La La Land, Whiplash) upcoming film Babylon, starring alongside Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Tobey Maguire as Charlie Chaplin.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has just been released by Disney+ – check it out below.The forthcoming spin-off series will see Ewan McGregor reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi, finding him 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.The show will follow Jedi Master Obi-wan’s “greatest defeat as he witnesses the the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader,” according to Disney.Hayden Christensen will also return as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, whose iconic heavy breathing can be heard in the new trailer.Take a look here:Ian McDiarmid recently teased that the evil Sith Lord Emperor Palpatine could also make a return in the new series.The villain was most recently brought back to life in body form in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and could appear again soon.“There’s a certain show coming soon set right around the time I may have considered to be very active,” McDiarmid teased, according to SWNN.“Whether or not you will see my physical body, I cannot comment on. But you will certainly feel my presence.” A series of first-look images from the show were released earlier this year, at which point McGregor said: “We find Obi-Wan at the beginning of our story rather broken, and faithless, and beaten, somewhat given up.”Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ with two episodes on May 27.
