The Game on – and we don’t mean Sunday football. Paramount+ has given a ten-episode series order for the reboot of The CW and BET’s series The Game. The series originally created by Mara Brock Akil, creator of BET’s Being Mary Jane and UPN’s Girlfriends, will be reimagined with original cast members Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez returning to their roles as Tasha Mack and Malik Wright.

The CW confirmed today that the superhero drama will end with the upcoming fourth season, which is set to premiere early next year.The move follows the network’s announcement last week that it is planning a planted spinoff of the series titled Painkiller, starring Jordan Calloway who will reprise his role as the titular character.
