Exactly a week after its initial limited release on Soundcloud, on the same day as its hard opening on all major digital streaming platforms, and less than an hour before closing time at The FADER dot com, “Poland” has now received a Lyrical Lemonade visual treatment.

Lil Yachty‘s viral hit track ‘Poland’ has been officially released, along with an official music video.Following several leaks last week, Lil Yachty shared the new song to SoundCloud, where it quickly went viral. Denzel Curry, Wiz Khalifa and more celebrities quickly reacted to the cut’s now-famous hook: “I took the Wock to Poland.”Today, Yachty has officially released the song – produced by F1lthy, Lucian and Lukrative, and still just over 80 seconds long – on digital streaming platforms.‘Poland’ marks Yachty’s first official solo track of this year, following several features on songs including Fivio Foreign‘s ‘Slime’ and Diplo‘s ‘Humble’.

Last week Lil Yachty released a new track titled “Poland” on SoundCloud and it promptly blew up. The song, with its addictive "I took the woooooock to Poland" hook, has amassed over 5 million plays in seven days.

Soulja Boy and Lil Yachty, and YouTube personality Jake Paul, are among the defendants in a class action lawsuit over an alleged cryptocurrency “pump and dump” scheme.As reported by ClassAction.org, a lawsuit claims that Soulja, Yachty and Paul, as well as musician Nick Carter and YouTuber Ben Phillips, were recruited by the company SafeMoon to misleadingly promote and sell the cryptocurrency token ‘V1’.It is alleged that the endorsements were intended to artificially inflate the currency’s value, allowing founder and CEO Braden John Karony and other executives to sell their holdings for a profit while numbers were high.The suit says that the so-called ‘pump and dump’ strategy saw the value of the SafeMoon token rise “astronomically” after its creation in March 2021. It claims that the trading volume for SafeMoon tokens shot up a staggering 875 percent within nine days of the celebrity-driven marketing campaign, peaking at $191.6 million on April 22, according to the complaint.Central to the lawsuit is SafeMoon’s promise to create a designated ‘wallet’, in which investors would “have a better place” to hold their tokens.

Tame Impala have released the deluxe edition of 2020 album ‘The Slow Rush’, which features previously unreleased B-side ‘The Boat I Row’.Along with ‘No Choice’, which arrived back in December, the song is one of two additional tracks that feature on the expanded version of the album. The rapper Lil Yachty has sued Opulous – the music NFTs start-up launched by the founders of Ditto Music – accusing it of using his name and brand as part of launch communications, even though he had not agreed to get involved in the venture.In a lawsuit filed last week, the rapper – real name Miles McCollum – claims that while he and his management team had meetings with Opulous founder Lee Parsons and its Chief Marketing Officer Fernando Cruz in May last year, they never signed up to work with or endorse the NFT start-up.Opulous is a platform that encourages fans and investors to buy non-fungible tokens linked to new music being created by participating artists. Those NFTs provide fans and investors with a royalty right, so that they share in any future income generated by a track.

Lil Yachty has filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the NFT platform Opulous.The rapper – real name Miles Parks McCollum – claimed that the company “maliciously” used his name and likeness to raise more than $6.5million (£4.86million) in venture capital funds (via Rolling Stone).McCollum stated in the filing that he only engaged in a couple of exploratory conference calls with Opulous in May 2021, which included the Singapore-based company’s founder and Ditto Music CEO, Lee Parsons.Yachty claimed “no agreement or deal terms” were reached, and that he never saw any of the money raised.According to the lawsuit, however, Opulous announced in a press release on June 2, 2021 that a “series of unmissable NFT drops” would be “led by world-famous artists including Lil Yachty”.
