Mum defends 'harmless' 56 mile lockdown breaking beach trip for son's birthday
lockdown defiantly claims she did nothing wrong.Laura McGhee insisted she "didn't think there was any harm" as she defended her 56 mile trip from Oldham, Greater Manchester to Formby Beach in Merseyside.She told Good Morning Britain: "He's only four so I'm not doing another birthday in lockdown." Pointing to her kids, she added: "We've done it with him, we've done it with him, and all he wanted to do was to come to the beach and I didn't think there was any harm."We drove here, we're not around anybody, we all go to school together, we all live together. So this is what we've done." Police in the coastal town have issued several appeals for people not to travel to the beach.
