attacking his partner in a festive rammy which saw their Christmas tree knocked over and baubles smashed.Reginald Philp, 64, a fireman with almost 32 years service in Renfrewshire, assaulted June Kerr following a boozy bash on Boxing Day which they attended with family and friends.Paisley Sheriff Court heard first offender Philp and Ms Kerr returned to the house they shared in Linwood, where he pounced on her on after learning their taxi fare had been already paid for.The court heard he grabbed her hair, pulled her to the floor and, in the ensuing scuffle, trashed their living room, as well as leaving her bleeding and badly shaken.Procurator fiscal depute Victoria Keel said the victim’s daughter phoned a cab to return Philp and her mother
