Daily Star's biggest headlines straight to your inbox!A hockey star has died at the aged of 24 after a horror fall.Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks had fallen when he got out of a hot tub following a "fireworks malfunction" at a Fourth of July celebration in Novi, Michigan.A police spokesperson said: "From what we can tell, we're treating this as an accidental fall."It appears he slipped and fell and hit his head on the concrete."Detroit news outlets said Kivlenieks was pronounced dead upon arrival at a Michigan hospital, with a post-mortem to be carried out on Monday.The Blue Jackets' general manager, Jarmo Kekalainen, tweeted: "Life is so precious and can be so fragile.
