Vanessa Bryant and other plaintiffs have reached a settlement in the wrongful death lawsuit against the helicopter company involved in the fatal crash that killed Kobe and Gianna “Gigi” Bryant. The basketball player, 41, and his daughter, 13, died in a helicopter crash last January — one that killed a total of nine people in Calabasas. According to NBC Los Angeles, Vanessa and co.’s terms of agreement with Island Express Helicopters have been kept confidential and still need to be finalized by the court.

Nearly four months after the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi and seven others, the pilot’s relative is pushing back, saying he’s not to blame for the fatal helicopter crash.

A representative for late pilot Ara George Zobayan, who was flying the aircraft that crashed in late January, killing Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and 7 other passengers, has issued a shocking response to Vanessa Bryant‘s lawsuit claiming plaintiff negligence is the reason for the crash.

Vanessa Bryant is seeking "hundreds of millions of dollars" as part of a wrongful death lawsuit filed against Island Express Helicopters and the pilot that was in control of the helicopter that crashed and killed husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant, according to court documents obtained by E! News.  As previously reported by E! News, Vanessa submitted the wrongful death lawsuit against the helicopter company in February—less than a month after Kobe's death. Vanessa's attorney's filed a 72-paged wrongful death lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court arguing Island Express, agents and employees, including Ara George Zobayan, the pilot of the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter who also died in the crash, had a "duty to use that degree of care
