transplant is urging people to think carefully about their organ donation choices ahead of a change in the law.Nurse Caroline Carlin, from Paisley, has called on Buddies to discuss their decision with loved ones as Scotland gets set to move towards an ‘opt-out’ system of organ donation.The 58-year-old was diagnosed with advanced heart failure in 2017 following a heart attack.She was admitted to the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, in Clydebank, in April 2019 and placed on the urgent heart transplant list.Very quickly - just 11 weeks later - she had the surgery that gave her a new chance at life.She is now asking people to chat with relatives about what they would like to happen to their organs when they die.A year and a half on from her
