DEALSMusic rights administrator Muserk has extended its deal with SDRM – the mechanical rights branch of French collecting society SACEM. It already worked with the society on administrating its mechanical royalties from YouTube in the US, and will now do the same for other digital services in the market. “In this ever-growing digital landscape, it is harder than ever to track and match all works and usage”, says Muserk CEO Paul Goldman.

Although he’s been in the position for some time, it was made official today by Atlantic Records Group, which announced Ben-Horin’s promotion to executive VP, global A&R. Covering Atlantic, Elektra Music Group, Big Beat and other subsidiary labels, he’ll report to Atlantic chairman and CEO Craig Kallman and be based out of Los Angeles.In addition, Ben-Horin, who has long been a hitmaker executive, seasoned scout and producer, has launched a publishing partnership with Warner Chappell Music.

Dave could be celebrating his second week at Number 1 in the UK this week, as surprise single Starlight is currently top of today’s Official Chart First Look Update. Last week, Starlight debuted at Number 1 with the biggest opening week of the year so far.

Dave’s Starlight has debuted straight at the top of the Official Singles Chart. It marks the acclaimed rapper’s second UK Number 1 single, following 2018’s Funky Friday featuring Fredo. 

After seven weeks at the top of the Official Singles Chart, We Don’t Talk About Bruno’s reign at Number 1 could well be over this week thanks to Dave, who is heading for his second chart-topper with Starlight.

Encanto’s domination of the UK continues as breakout hit We Don’t Talk About Bruno achieves a seventh consecutive week at Number 1 today on the Official Singles Chart.
