She is the daughter of animators David Fine and Alison Snowdown who are both friends of series creator Mark.Recalling that she was unable to read during filming, Lily told The Guardian: "I remember sitting in the recording room and, since I couldn’t read, Mum would read the lines to me and I would repeat them."“I remember her getting quite irritated because I’d bang on a chair and we’d have to do it again, but she’d still give me half a doughnut at the end of the day," she added.Lily's family moved to Toronto when she was eight and the now 24-year-old works as a distinguished painter and illustrator.On top of this, she has also written two children's books titled Why Do Dogs Sniff Bottoms?
and Why Do Cats Meow?.Lily left the show in 2005 after one season when her voice became too deep to continue to portray Peppa.
